A Site Consistent With Quality Products

Holmes has been the source of stationery, business cards, and forms for Berner Screen Print since they opened in 1978, and we have also relied on them for our screen print and embroidery needs over the years. You could say we’ve been loyal customers to each other for a long time.

We contacted Sunshine at Berner Screen Print regarding artwork we were providing for a client of ours who was also having embroidery done. During the call, Sunshine indicated that the owner, Gail Berner was wanting to discuss updating their outdated website. Kevin Holmes met with Gail and talked through what she wanted her website to do for the company. They also discussed what she disliked about the current site. Ultimately, due to the relationship, Gail trusted us to take the Berner website down the right path.

Site Design

As Designer/Developer Mike England began mapping out the structure of the new Berner website, a few different areas of focus were at the top of his priority list. Berner wanted to showcase their licensed Greek wear, a service that few screen printers in the area can offer, as well as their traditional, long-lasting methods for screen printing. Berner stands by the motto, “Wear it now; wear it years from now,” and they wanted to really depict that attention to detail and quality on their website.

The site was styled with a vibrant color scheme, fun typography, and custom icons to mimic the bright, unique designs of the work Berner produces. Mike took the photographs used on the site in order to get imagery that supported the content. Then, he built individual galleries for each service, rather than one gallery mixing all of Berner’s work together. Overall, the site was developed to be easy to use and make information easy to find.

Beyond the aesthetics, Mike wanted to create a simple way for website users to request an estimate, ask a question, or give feedback on their products. The conditional form collects all of the information Berner needs from customers. They can now help them with their ordering experience and streamlines the entire process for both Berner and their customers.
